Notice of Annual General Meeting
TUESDAY 14th July 2020 AT 7.30 P.M.
Due to exceptional circumstances, the AGM is being held online via the ’Zoom’ app, and any changes to agenda and/or discussions are at the discretion of the Chairman.
The link for the Zoom meeting will be added here in due course.
We will also hold a "technical rehearsal" a week beforehand, (between 8 and 8.30pm on 7th July) for anyone who is not familiar with 'Zoom' to have a go and maybe chat to a few other choir members while so doing. The link for the rehearsal will also be posted here in due course.
We would very much like to maintain the Chandos tradition of some light-hearted entertainment after the serious business of the AGM has been completed. We will have a short break after the end of the formal meeting and anyone who wants to can stay on for the entertainment or a chat. If anyone would like to give a reading, play a song or otherwise provide 3-4 minutes of entertainment, please click on the RSVP link below.
RSVP! Please click here to let us know whether or not you are attending the AGM, and if you are volunteering to provide some entertainment.
The links below will open up a document or a web page in a new tab (while leaving this one open) to take you to the formal AGM notice and agenda; the annual accounts in the easy-to-read Management View as well as the required Statutory View. In due course, we will also provide details of the committee's proposal to the choir for subscriptions. This is not yet written up, but will be available in advance of the meeting to enable your consideration and discussion.

Instructions for the return of music we have hired from libraries
In readiness for libraries re-opening I need to collect the hired music from you all.
Obviously this is not as simple as in normal times! Maria Brown, Liz Woolf and myself are going to be the collection points. Maria and Liz have porches where the music can be left and they will leave a suitable box to put them in. I have an undercover area where our cars are parked and similarly there will be a suitable box. Please keep your folders but please could you return music between now and 13th July.
Faure - Pavane Op 50
Faure - Requiem
Gounod/Bach - Ave Maria

For now choir members can keep the other music (owned by Chandos) in their folders - Faure: Les Djinns & Cantique de Jean Racine; Bizet: Agnus Dei; Frank: Panis Angelicus - so that if it becomes possible to do virtual singing everyone has music copies .
However if you are planning to retire from the choir please return all the music and your folder.
If returning the music causes a problem please phone me (01564 637387 or 07973 819469).
