Singing for Solihull

The choir singing at their Christmas concert

 Join us!

We would love some new singers to come and join us and share our enjoyment!

On 7th September 2021 at 7.45pm, we re-start proper rehearsals!

We have been holding regular Zoom rehearsals and have just enjoyed a wonderful singing garden party. And we are now more than happy to welcome new singers. Come and try us out for a few rehearsals to see how you get on.

Some previous experience of choral singing is helpful, but not essential, and it helps if you can read music at a basic level. There is no audition, and we are usually able to lend you the music.

If you are interested in joining this lively and friendly group of singers, Contact Us.

We hope to see you soon!

Young Singers' Scholarship

The Solihull Chandos Choir has always been keen to encourage young people to get involved with choral singing. We set up a Young Singers' Scholarship in 1997 which has since helped many young people to develop their singing.

The scholarship consists of:

  • A bursary of £100 towards the cost of singing lessons with an approved teacher

  • Free membership of the Choir for the Season, including loan of the music and uniform

You will need the support of your music teacher and also a parent / guardian. If you wish to be considered, we ask that you attend a few rehearsals.

For more information, please email the Scholarship Secretary.
