Parking and practicalities:

There is free on-site parking, but the car park can get very busy and full quite quickly. Alternative free parking can be found at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, B91 1NB or Solihull Railway Station car park, B91 1LE, both are within a few minutes’ walk. Please check signage for changes to free parking status.

What to expect at a rehearsal:

We are a very welcoming group. You will be greeted at the door, please let us know that you are new and we will ensure that you sit next to someone experienced to guide you.

There will be about 40-50 singers split into soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Some songs have a further split. Don’t worry if you don’t know the range of your voice, someone will guide you and if it feels wrong when you are singing, you can change group.

After a thorough warm up, we rehearse for about 50 minutes and then have a well-earned break. Hot drinks and biscuits are available for a donation, then back to the second half of the rehearsal. Please bring a bottle of water for during the session.

We will provide music for your taster session, which you hand back at the end of the session. If you decide to join us, music will be available to hire for a small payment.

Also having a pencil is really helpful for rehearsals too so you can make notes on your music.

Depending on when you have your session, we may be in the first weeks of learning a new piece or in the final preparations for a concert, so don’t be worried that we all seem so proficient (we will have been practicing hard!)
